Gambiaj.com – (ABUJA, Nigeria) – Gambia-born Nollywood actress Rosaline (Rosy) Meurer has dismissed claims that she met her husband through his ex-wife, insisting that rumors linking her to actress Tonto Dikeh are false.
In a series of Instagram videos posted early Wednesday, Meurer rejected suggestions that she had any prior relationship with Dikeh or that she was once close to her before marrying businessman Olakunle Churchill.
“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, much less her best friend. I have never met her, I have never seen her, she doesn’t have my number, I don’t have her number, and she’s like eight to ten years older than I am,” Meurer said.
She challenged those spreading the claims to provide proof, maintaining that she had no personal connection with Dikeh.
“If anyone has proof, I dare you to bring it out. I don’t even know her; I’ve never met her,” she added.
Meurer also addressed separate reports alleging that she had unfollowed her husband on Instagram, a move that fueled speculation about trouble in their marriage. The actress denied the claims and shared video evidence showing that she still follows Churchill on the platform.
“So how am I unfollowing my husband? I have no reason to unfollow my husband. I did not unfollow my husband. I don’t know what technical issue… because it’s so convenient like that; today of all days it just happened that I unfollowed my husband,” she explained.
Her clarification comes weeks after Dikeh and Churchill reportedly ended their long-running feud, publicly reuniting with their son, King Andre, after years of strained relations.
Churchill married Meurer in 2019, and the couple welcomed their first child together in 2021. The child is Churchill’s second son.
Meurer, who was born in The Gambia, is among the Gambian-born personalities who have built successful careers in Nigeria’s Nollywood film industry.
