Gambiaj.com – (ATLANTA, United States of America) – In a bid to challenge the presidency in the 2026 elections, a group of Gambians living abroad are forming a new alliance with the support of Gambia’s stakeholders. This initiative aims to unite diverse viewpoints and opinions to address the pressing issues facing the nation.

The newly formed coalition, named the Coalition for System Change, is committed to promoting accountability, transparency, and good governance. By uniting Gambians both at home and abroad, the coalition seeks to offer a formidable alternative to the current political landscape.

The Coalition for System Change’s primary goal is to bring about positive change and work towards a better future for all residents. The alliance plans to tackle key issues such as poor governance, economic mismanagement, broken promises, a failing healthcare system, mishandled policies, high youth unemployment, high living expenses, rising crime rates, dilapidated infrastructure, and persistent corruption.

In a press release issued by interim chairman Kebba Wally Foon, it was announced that the coalition’s debut conference will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024. The Coalition for System Change has extended invitations to interested parties, women’s organizations, civil society organizations, youth organizations, and opposition political parties to participate in this significant event.

The coalition’s formation represents a concerted effort by Gambians abroad to influence the political direction of their home country and address the critical issues that have long plagued the nation. With a focus on unity and reform, the Coalition for System Change hopes to create a brighter future for Gambia and its citizens.
