Gambiaj.com – (DAKAR, Senegal) – Ndèye Khady Ndiaye, the former manager of the “Sweet Beauté” massage salon, has resurfaced with a strong message directed at the current Senegalese government led by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. In a series of videos posted on her social media, she categorically denied allegations that she had received financial support from the ruling authorities and expressed frustration over what she describes as a lack of acknowledgment for her sacrifices.

Responding to claims from a member of the former ruling party, the Alliance for the Republic (APR), Ndiaye rejected suggestions that she had been rewarded by the new administration. She firmly stated that she had neither received a diplomatic passport nor a single call of appreciation from Sonko or Faye.

Some alleged that I have a diplomatic passport, but what they do not know is that [Bassirou Diomaye Faye] never even called me to say thank you. I do not count on anyone to make progress, and no one has ever given me anything. Whether it is Ousmane Sonko or Bassirou Diomaye Faye, I have never heard the smallest thank you coming from them,” Ndiaye said.

Ndiaye, who played a significant role during the high-profile Adji Sarr case that shook Senegalese politics in 2021, revealed that she had endured great personal and professional losses because of her involvement in the Pastef movement.

After boasting that “Rewmi maa ko mom” -meaning “I own the country”- Ndèye Khady Ndiaye lamented the fact that other women who had contributed less to the political struggle to defend Ousmane Sonko in The Adji Sarr case were now being elevated, while her own sacrifices had gone unrecognized.

In March 2021, I was at the center of all the debates. But this year, it’s like I’ve never existed,” she said. Despite her disappointment, she emphasized that her commitment to the country remained unwavering.

This in no way changes my dedication to this country because I made it all out of conviction. And if I had to do it again, I would not hesitate,” she asserted.

Her remarks have stirred conversations in Senegalese political circles, as they touch on broader issues of political loyalty, recognition, and the treatment of grassroots supporters in governance transitions.
