American Lifestyle Brand SGDI and GYCC Partner to Combat Food Insecurity in The Gambia

The American lifestyle brand Somebody Got to Do It (SGDI) and The Gambia Youth Chamber of Commerce (GYCC) collaborated over the weekend to address food insecurity in Tampoto, a community in The Gambia’s Foni Bintang district. As a result of the partnership, approximately 60 families received donations of necessary food items, which was a major accomplishment for SGDI’s charitable work in Africa.

Youssouph N’Diaye, the founder of SGDI, emphasized the company’s dedication to helping communities by mentioning prior charitable endeavors in Senegal and Philadelphia, USA. N’Diaye emphasized the brand’s commitment to having a good impact on the region while outlining SGDI’s audacious goal of reaching every nation in West Africa each year.

In addition to offering immediate aid, the food donation campaign featured things like rice, onions, sugar, oil, tomato sauce, and dates in an effort to encourage others to support the community. N’Diaye emphasized that everyone, regardless of income, can make a difference and urged people to use their money and influence for charitable causes.

Beyond just providing food aid, SGDI and GYCC’s program had a cumulative impact of over 100 households. For The Gambia, where many people are experiencing economic hardships and rising food prices, this endeavor comes at a critical moment.
