Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – The Deputy Spokesperson and Director of Media of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC), Dodou Jah, has announced his resignation from his position, effective March 18, 2025.

In a statement addressed to APRC National Chairman and Party Leader, Fabakary Tombong Jatta—who also serves as the Speaker of the National Assembly—the outgoing official expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership, members, and supporters both in The Gambia and the diaspora for their trust and cooperation during his tenure.

I want to thank the party’s leadership, supporters, and sympathizers for giving me the opportunity to serve in various capacities within the party. The love and respect they accorded me was excellent and worth my humble appreciation,” Dodou Jah stated.

Despite stepping down from his role, he reaffirmed his continued membership in the APRC, pledging to remain committed to serving the Gambian people. He also acknowledged the support of media houses that provided him a platform to share his views on national issues.

His resignation comes amid ongoing political realignments within The Gambia’s political landscape, as parties prepare for the next electoral cycle. While no specific reasons were cited for his departure, his statement reflects an amicable exit from the role.
