The German judge in the Celle regional high court stated during his ruling in Bai Lowe’s trial that the Gambia Justice Ministry had not completely cooperated with his jurisdiction in order to ascertain the facts. Baba Hydara, the son of murdered journalist Deyda Hydara, was taken aback by this information. Baba Hydara claims that the judge’s admission on Thursday should serve as enough of a warning sign for the victims and their families in The Gambia to carefully thread with the government and demand openness from the Ministry of Justice.
