Omar Sanneh, known as Baitulai, a native of Arankon Kunda in Foni Jarrol District, recently released from a Senegal prison, responded to speculation that his daily audios on Gambian and Senegalese politics would cease.
Baitulai’s audios, known for their wide range of topics, often drew criticism for baseless allegations and insults. In an audio obtained and authenticated by The Gambia Journal, Baitulai asserted that his imprisonment in Senegal would not silence him.
He stated, “Nothing has changed; I am the same Baitulai. I am not one to spit and swallow back my saliva.”
Having been in Casamance since the government change, Baitulai reiterated that he would re-enter The Gambia through the same door he used to leave. He expressed his commitment to speaking out against anyone harming the nation, emphasizing his love for The Gambia.
Baitulai warned that anyone, including the Chief of Defense Staff, Inspector General of Police, or Interior Minister, who orders his arrest would face similar consequences.
“You might be the CDS, IGP or the Interior Minister, but if you think that you can give orders to go and Arrest Baitulai, go and arrest him; but if you take me into prison you will also be imprisoned,” Baitulai warned.
He announced plans to visit Barajasse briefly before returning to The Gambia and promised another audio upon retrieving his phone from Senegalese security.
