Gambiaj.com – In a shocking development, one Ousman Mballow has pleaded guilty to the murder of Isatou Barry, whose body was found inside a bag on a street in Basse. The horrifying discovery was made on Tuesday, sending shockwaves through the community.
Mballow, now formally charged with murder, was brought before Peter Adoh Che at the Basse Magistrates’ Court. According to the charge sheet provided by the police prosecutors, Mballow caused the death of Isatou Barry by striking her on the head with a stick at the Basse high-level field three days before her body was found.
When the charge was read and interpreted to him in his native Fula, Mballow pleaded guilty. The court proceedings took a significant turn with this admission of guilt, highlighting the gravity of the crime.
