Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – The Basse Police have launched an investigation into the mysterious death of 14-year-old Yusuf Samareh from Demba Kunda. The investigation began after the Basse District Hospital reported Yusuf’s death to the police upon his arrival at the facility.
Preliminary medical examinations have raised serious concerns, suggesting that the teenager may have been a victim of physical abuse. According to police sources, signs of torture were evident on Yusuf’s body, prompting the authorities to consider the possibility of foul play.
In connection with the ongoing investigation, three individuals from Demba Kunda are currently assisting the police. While no arrests have been made, the involvement of these individuals indicates that the police are pursuing all potential leads to uncover the circumstances surrounding Yusuf’s tragic death.
The Basse Police have assured the public of their commitment to a thorough investigation, aiming to identify and prosecute any suspects involved in the case.
