Gambiaj.com – (BRUSUBI, The Gambia) – Brusubi police responded to reports of an unidentified individual found dead in the area on Friday, June 7, 2024. Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) and Criminal Investigators (CID) examined the scene and commenced investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the suspected death.
The body was subsequently transported to the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH) mortuary in Banjul for a potential postmortem.
A preliminary investigation later identified the deceased as Mamoudou Abdou Issia, a man in his 20s from Niger. However, his local address in The Gambia remains unknown. Authorities are actively working to locate his family, associates, or any local contacts in The Gambia to notify them and gather more information about his background and activities.
Ongoing forensic analysis and interviews with witnesses are being conducted to piece together the events leading up to his death.
As the investigation continues, police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case. Anyone with relevant details is urged to come forward and support the investigative efforts.
