Gambiaj.com – (BUNDUNG) – In a successful patrol conducted last night in Bundung Jola Kunda, The Gambia Police Intervention Unit apprehended two individuals between the ages of 22 and 25. The suspects were found carrying over one hundred individually wrapped packages of a substance believed to be the illegal drug “Kush.”
Both individuals are currently in police custody and will be promptly handed over to the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) for further investigation and processing.
This arrest serves as another stride in the ongoing fight against drug-related crimes within The Gambia. It directly aligns with the Gambia Police Force’s recently launched “Operations Fight Against Kush,” an initiative spearheaded by the Crime Management Department in February to actively support DLEAG’s mission of fostering a drug-free society.
