OIC Condemns Burning of Quran, Call on States to Combat Religious Intolerance

Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL) – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly denounced the recurrent cases of Holy Quran burning in a number of European nations. The OIC also urged governments to adopt legal and policy measures to fight religious intolerance, hate crimes, negative stereotyping, incitement to violence, and violence against individuals based on their religion or belief, in a statement issued as part of the Banjul proclamation.
