Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Gambiaj.com – The African Federation (TAF) on Saturday, November 1, 2025, officially launched its Gambia Chapter, marking a new chapter in the movement’s mission to amplify African voices and promote grassroots-driven transformation across the continent.

TAF describes itself as a distinct pan-African organization “formed by Africa’s people for the youth of tomorrow,” with a vision rooted in unity, inter-African cooperation, and the full restoration of the continent’s sovereignty.

The organization aims to champion sustainable governance, authentic economic systems, environmental protection, health, and the strengthening of Africa’s narrative in the global arena.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Mustapha Jarju, Deputy Focus Unit Coordinator for TAF Gambia and West Africa Regional Communications Head, emphasized the need for a united front to overcome Africa’s challenges.

Our continent’s challenges stem from leadership failures, but through unity and shared ambition, we can unlock Africa’s true potential,” Mr. Jarju said. “When we harness the spirit of Ubuntu and our abundant resources equitably, nothing can stop Mother Africa’s rise.”

Ms. Suna Jarju, Head of TAF Gambia, outlined the chapter’s mission to connect Gambians with a broader Pan-African vision.

Our chapter will serve as the eyes and ears of this great movement, linking Gambia’s people to a continent-wide network of changemakers,” she said. “We commit to bridging divides, celebrating our rich heritage, and empowering the next generation to carry forward this pivotal work.”

The launch event highlighted TAF’s dual strategy of combining policy-focused leadership with vibrant national chapters to tackle governance, economic, environmental, wellness, and narrative challenges across Africa.

This is more than an organization; it is a movement built on the lived experiences and hopes of millions,” Mr. Jarju added.

As TAF Gambia begins its operations, the chapter is calling on all Gambians to engage actively in shaping Africa’s collective future.

Our strength lies in authentic, collective voices. Together, we will shape a future where Africa’s dignity and sovereignty thrive,” Ms. Jarju said.
