ECOWAS and UNIDO Strengthen Ties for Regional Industrial Development

Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, President of the ECOWAS Commission, met with Ms. Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Managing Director of the Directorate of Global Partnerships and External Relations, along with her team during a courtesy visit to the Commission’s Headquarters in Abuja.

During the meeting, both leaders explored opportunities for collaboration between ECOWAS and UNIDO aimed at promoting industrial development and sustainable economic growth in the West African region. Dr. Touray expressed his gratitude for UNIDO’s ongoing support, highlighting the crucial role of partnerships in achieving shared objectives.
