Gambiaj.com – (Banjul, the Gambia)- The Gambia’s National Assembly is hosting a high-level delegation from Nigeria’s National Assembly Service Commission, led by Hon. Patrick A. Giwa, for a weeklong visit focused on strengthening parliamentary ties and improving legislative administration.
Deputy Speaker Hon. Seedy S.K. Njie, alongside members of the Assembly Authority, officially welcomed the delegation in Banjul. Clerk of the National Assembly, Mr. Kalipha M.M. Mbye, also briefed the visitors on the Assembly’s administrative structure and formation.
Over the course of the week, the Nigerian team will hold discussions with key committees and departments, including the Assembly Business Committee, the Legal Department, the Administration and Human Resource Management Department, and the Table Office.
Talks will cover important issues such as bill drafting, business planning, organizational management, and parliamentary procedures, with the goal of sharing knowledge and boosting cooperation between the two legislatures.
The visit marks a new step in strengthening inter-parliamentary relations between The Gambia and Nigeria.
