The Attorney General’s Chambers and Ministry of Justice have appointed Ms. Ida Persson as Special Adviser on Transitional Justice, effective January 1, 2024.
Persson, a Gambian lawyer and expert in transitional justice, will guide the Ministry in implementing recommendations from the government whitepaper on the TRRC report. With over a decade of experience, she has provided strategic direction to the UN in The Gambia and managed projects on transitional justice, elections, local governance, rule of law, and human rights.
She holds a B.A. in International Relations and Communication from Hult International Business.
School an L.L.M. in Public International Law from Leiden University.
