Insider Monkey is a finance website that tracks hedge funds and corporate insiders, offering a premium newsletter with a proprietary strategy, has released its yearly ranking of Africa’s 35 poorest countries based on GDP per capita in 2023. The Gambia is ranked 17th, just behind Guinea-Bissau and just ahead of Togo.

Senegal: Four soldiers killed by an anti-tank mine in Casamance

Four Senegalese army personnel were killed on Thursday after their vehicle collided with an anti-tank mine near Kalathiay. The soldiers who died were part of a paratrooper detachment returning from a mission on the Diokadou-Kadialock axis, in Sindian’s department of Bignona, near the border with Gambia.
