Gambiaj.com – (KANIFING SOUTH, The Gambia) – In a joint operation with the Sheriff’s Division of Banjul, the KM Region Police conducted a search at the residence of Dukureh Sisawo in Kanifing South on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, following a court order.
The search led to the discovery of several concerning items, including two pistols, a plastic bottle containing rubber bullets, three passports bearing the name Dukureh Sisawo, two loaded magazines, and five rubber bullet magazines. Preliminary investigations and examinations have determined that these weapons, while non-lethal, could potentially be used to threaten and facilitate criminal activities.
At the time of the search, Mr. Dukureh was out of the country.
In light of this discovery, the Gambia Police Force has issued a strong reminder to citizens to avoid the illegal harboring or possession of weapons. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or possession of illegal items to the nearest police station to help maintain peace and security in the community.
This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of the Gambia Police Force to uphold law and order, ensuring that the safety and security of the residents remain a top priority.
