Gambiaj.com – (India, Uttar Pradesh) – Five persons have been taken into custody by Indian UP police after an 11-year-old student in Class 2 was slain a week ago in the Hathras region of Uttar Pradesh as part of a purported “black magic” human sacrifice ceremony carried out by the school’s owners to make the institution “more prosperous.”

The youngster, identified by the police as Kritarth, was enrolled in DL Public School.

According to the authorities, the owner of the school, Jasodhan Singh, who is rumored to follow “tantrik” rites, had ordered his son, Dinesh Baghel, the director of the school, to sacrifice a child for the “prosperity” of the school and his family.

Ashok Kumar Singh, additional superintendent of police (ASP), Hathras, told news agency PTI that the father-son team abducted the victim from the school’s hostel on September 23 and transported him to a remote location for the sacrifice. Three other staff members also participated in the kidnapping. But the boy awoke and started weeping.

The youngster was then slain by strangulation by the accused, according to the authorities.

The police claim that the accused informed the child’s parents that their sick boy was being driven to a hospital in Baghel’s vehicle. But halfway there, the child’s family halted the car and learned of their son’s passing. They called the cops right away.

Five individuals have been taken into custody by the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with this case: principal Laxman Singh, director Dinesh Baghel, owner of the school Jasodhan Singh, and two additional teachers, Veerpal Singh and Ramprakash Solanki.

Under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Section 103(1), a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against them.

In a related case, two children, ages four and seven, were killed as part of a human sacrifice, and a mother-daughter pair was detained in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, in May. The suspects carried out the sacrifice rites, as per the police, at the advice of a Tantrik in order to purge their bodies of “aatma,” or soul.
