The Indo Gambia Film and Cultural Forum recently held a momentous gathering at the esteemed headquarters of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in Noida, bringing together esteemed delegates from both nations to enhance cultural exchange and collaboration.
A significant highlight of the event was the partnership between the High Commission of Gambia and the 12th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2024, further strengthening the ties between India and Gambia. His Excellency Mr. Mustapha Jawara, the esteemed High Commissioner of Gambia, graced the occasion alongside diplomats from the High Commission of Gambia, adding a touch of diplomatic finesse to the proceedings at Marwah Studios.
During the event, Mr. Sandeep Marwah, a highly respected figure in the media and entertainment industry, presented mementos to a distinguished delegation of artists from Gambia. These artists, representing the rich cultural tapestry of their nation, were honored for their contributions at the Surajkund Mela.
The Gambian delegation included a variety of talented individuals such as Sanna B. Jarju, Matarr Jeng, Yusupha Suso, Bubacar Jallow, Muhamadou Kamaso, Mustapha Ceesay, Nene Jali Suso, Amie Jafuneh, Yero Ann, Demba Ayo Sallah, Maimuna Bah, Jainaba Ceesay, Jarry Bah, Mai Jallow, Saidou Samba, Habib Sey, Pateh Sowe, Samba Touray, Awa OB. Conateh, and more.
Each member showcased their unique talents, highlighting the diversity and vibrancy of Gambian arts and culture.
The event served as a powerful testament to the enduring spirit of collaboration and friendship between India and Gambia, promising a future filled with enriching cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.
