The Kunta Kinteh Ferry will be out of service for six weeks starting on Thursday, March 6, 2024. During this time, limited service on the Banjul and Barra routes will be provided by the Kanilai Ferry.
The maintenance work on the Kunta Kinteh Ferry includes underwater scraping, welding, painting, and the installation of new engines and propulsion systems.
in a press statement issued today, the Gambia Ferry Service advises passengers to plan ahead and use the alternate ferry service.
Truck drivers are recommended to use the Senegambia Bridge.
The Gambia Ferry Service apologizes for any inconvenience and assures the public of regular updates on the maintenance progress through official media channels.
