Mbaye passed away on Tuesday evening in Dakar, as confirmed by Ndour in an emotional tribute on Facebook.
“Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. I just lost my brother, friend, and companion of over 40 years. Pray for him! 🙏🏾 Firdawsi Insha’Allah maestro,” the legendary singer wrote.
