Kunkujang Keitaya Community in Shock as Police Hunt Suspect in Murder Case

Gambiaj.com – (NEW YUNDUM, The Gambia) – The police at New Yundum Station are investigating a tragic murder involving 20-year-old driver Amadou Jallow from Kunkujang Keitaya. The incident took place within the premises of Banjulinding Upper and Senior Secondary School on Friday, July 19, 2024.

According to reports, Amadou Jallow was stabbed in the neck by Abdou Khadir Barry following an altercation. Barry fled the scene immediately after the attack and is currently at large. The police have launched a manhunt to locate and apprehend Barry to ensure justice is served.

The shocking incident has left the community  of Kunkujang Keitaya in distress, calling for increased security measures to prevent such acts of violence. The family of the victim is devastated and is seeking answers to understand why this senseless act occurred.

As the investigation continues, the police are making significant efforts to find and arrest Abdou Khadir Barry. Authorities are appealing to the public, especially those near the crime scene of Banjulinding Upper and Senior Secondary School, to provide any information that might assist in the investigation.

The Kunkujang Keitaya community’s shock highlights the urgent need for enhanced security and vigilance to protect citizens and prevent future tragedies.
