Gambiaj.com – (Banjul, The Gambia) – 4Stone Capital, a leading Nigerian investment firm, has expressed strong interest in expanding its operations into The Gambia, citing the country’s immense investment potential.
At a press briefing attended by key stakeholders in the African property market, the company’s Managing Director, Dr. Elizabeth Kings-Wali, revealed that 4Stone Capital is keen on making strategic investments in The Gambia, particularly in the real estate sector.
“The Gambia is a virgin land with great investment opportunities,” Kings-Wali said, emphasizing that the country’s small population does not deter the firm’s interest. “This is not about exploring Nigeria enough or having footprints everywhere. Nigeria is a vast country with 36 states, but you cannot be everywhere. We are looking at starting with Africa, which is why we are focusing on The Gambia.”
The event, which brought together industry leaders such as Dr. Fatoumatta Gaye, CEO of Top Solutions; Aikesh Pindoriya, Director of Swami India International; and Nyillan Faye, Business Development and Corporate Relations Manager at Global Properties, highlighted The Gambia’s potential as a prime destination for investment.
Kings-Wali disclosed that 4Stone Capital has recently ventured into real estate in Nigeria, starting with the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The firm sees The Gambia as an ideal location for expansion due to its tourism appeal and demand for vacation homes.
“In Nigeria, people love to travel, and The Gambia is a top tourist destination known for its beaches. We see an opportunity to provide vacation homes and diversify our investment portfolio internationally,” she added.
Beyond real estate, Kings-Wali hinted at the company’s broader ambitions, including facilitating sectoral citizenship opportunities. “Going to The Gambia may be our first international expansion, but it won’t be our last. This is just the beginning—4Stone is diversifying into the global market,” she affirmed.
The Gambia’s Real Estate Market Attracts Nigerian Investors
Echoing similar sentiments, Global Properties’ Business Development Manager, Nyillan Faye, urged Nigerian investors, both at home and in the diaspora, to explore The Gambia’s real estate market.
“We have come here to say, ‘Hello Nigeria!’ We want them to come and see the opportunities in The Gambia. You can vacation there, live there, or invest and earn significant returns,” Faye stated. She projected that investors could make up to $10,000 annually in rental income from a one-bedroom apartment, making it possible to recover their investment within five to seven years.
Faye also highlighted The Gambia’s key attractions for investors, including a changing lifestyle, improved infrastructure, security, and convenience. She noted that Global Properties has been actively engaging international investors through tours in the United States and Europe to showcase The Gambia’s real estate opportunities.
Dr. Fatoumatta Gaye of Top3 Solutions reinforced the potential for collaboration, describing 4Stone Capital as a “leading investment company in Nigeria” that would benefit from establishing a presence in The Gambia. “Real estate will be a good entry point for them into The Gambia market,” she remarked.
