Gambiaj.com – (DAKAR, Senegal) – In a recent court decision, the sale price of Bougane Guèye Dany’s building in Keur Gorgui was set at 1 billion 100 million CFA francs, following a case against the Agricultural Bank. The head of Dmedia, Bougane Guèye Dany, has publicly denounced what he describes as a campaign to tarnish his reputation.
“The Banque Agricole tried to defraud me, and the case is at the Supreme Court. I want to reassure my friends and sympathizers that the information spread by certain media outlets is only meant to smear my name,” Bougane said.
Bougane asserts that the case, Boss SA against Banque Agricole, is currently under appeal at the Supreme Court. He detailed the issue, stating, “This is an attempt to defraud the Banque Agricole. In 2015, I was the joint guarantor of a loan of 400 million CFA francs that was fully repaid, as confirmed by a legal expert. Boss SA had benefited from an overdraft of 600 million CFA francs, and Banque Agricole attempted to fraudulently use the former joint and several guarantee to cover this overdraft, which is the subject of the dispute. However, everyone knows that a surety is neither assignable nor transferable.”
Bougane further informed that his lawyers have lodged an appeal in cassation and that the case is ongoing. He stressed, “Any other information is pure lies and a machination aimed at tarnishing the image of a Senegalese who chose to invest in his country.”
Additionally, Bougane stated that he has instructed his lawyers to initiate criminal proceedings against LBA Bank for breach of trust and attempted fraud. The leader of Gëm Sa Bop is determined to clear his name and hold those responsible accountable.
