Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL) – Authorities in the Senegambia area are investigating a suspected murder following the discovery of a body near Mansea Beach on Thursday, April 25, 2024. The deceased has been identified as Sainey Jassey, known by his peers as “Eco,” hailing from Brufut.
The body was found by beachgoers who immediately contacted authorities. Upon arrival, police noted signs of foul play and have since launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding Jassey’s death.
Modou Lamin Jallow, a 35-year-old resident of Manjai, has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently cooperating with the investigation. Sources have revealed that the police is also looking for one Muhammed Barry, another suspect in the incident that led to the murder of Sainey Jassey.
The body has been transported to the mortuary for further examination.
