Reuben Andrews, a retired banker, was found deceased in his bedroom, his body bound with rope following a forced entry into his residence. His wife alerted authorities after discovering him motionless. Preliminary investigations revealed that the home had been ransacked, with valuables such as laptops, phones, and significant amounts of cash—including $7,000, £2,000, and between D9,000 and D10,000—stolen.

A ladder and a cutlass were recovered at the scene, suggesting the violent nature of the crime. Surveillance footage further revealed the presence of a watchman and a maid earlier in the day, both of whom have since gone missing. Like Kamara, both are believed to be Sierra Leonean nationals and are currently on the run.

Crime Scene Investigators have been working tirelessly at the location to gather forensic evidence, which they hope will aid in identifying the perpetrators and bringing them to justice. Andrews was transported to Ndemban Clinic, where he was declared dead, before being transferred to the EFSTH Mortuary for a more thorough post-mortem examination.

As the investigation progresses, authorities are imploring anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or holds any information to assist in solving the case. The police’s efforts are ramping up to locate Kamara and the other individuals involved.

For those who may have any details, the police urge you to get in touch with the nearest station or call the dedicated line at 9968885. The case remains under active investigation, and the public’s cooperation is vital in ensuring justice for the victim and his grieving family.
