Gambiaj.com – (NJAU, The Gambia) – Police in the Central River Region have launched an investigation into an alleged case of murder that occurred on Tuesday, 28th October 2025, at Kerr Macca Janneh Village.

According to preliminary findings, the incident reportedly took place during a dispute between two individuals who were harvesting groundnuts on a farmland. The altercation is said to have escalated, leading the suspect to allegedly stab the victim.

The injured man was immediately rushed to the Njau Health Centre but was later pronounced dead.

Police say the suspect has been arrested and is currently in custody, cooperating with investigators as inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
