Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Njau Sawalo village was the scene of a tense armed robbery incident on Tuesday evening, as four unidentified individuals targeted a Mauritanian-owned shop between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m., the Gambia Police Force has confirmed.
The suspects, armed with undisclosed weapons, forcefully robbed the shop before fleeing with an unconfirmed amount of money. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the robbery.
Police officers swiftly responded to the incident and are on-site to manage the situation and gather evidence. Authorities assured the public that the situation is under control.
The Gambia Police Force has called on members of the public to assist in the investigation by providing any information that may lead to the apprehension of the robbers. They emphasized the importance of community cooperation in maintaining safety and ensuring justice.
