Gambiaj.com – (Banjul, the Gambia) –Following their historic championship victory at the just concluded CAVB U18 Beach Volleyball Continental Championship in Abuja, the Gambia U18 teams (boys and girls) will go into a month long international camp in Doha, Qatar as part of preparations for the team’s participation in the FIVB U18 World beach volleyball championship in Doha from October 7-11 2025.

This development was facilitated by the Gambia Volleyball Federation through its long standing cooperation with Qatar Volleyball Association.

The Qatar Volleyball Federation and Gambia will jointly fund the camp leading to the championship.

Reacting to this news, the president of Gambia Volleyball Federation Bai Dodou Jallow stated his happiness and reaffirmed his Federation’s continued support and commitment to the development of volleyball in The Gambia. ‘’This is another huge development and we will take every advantage to provide a good preparation for this team, he said. ‘’They are young, focused and willing, just a little push up they can become world beaters’’.

The team is expected to leave Banjul before September 10th 2025.
