Gambiaj.com – (Doha, Qatar) – His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Deputy Amir of the State of Qatar, on Tuesday received the Ambassador of the Republic of The Gambia to Qatar, His Excellency Foday Malang, at the Amiri Diwan on the occasion of the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure in the country.

During the meeting, His Highness the Deputy Amir conferred on the Gambian envoy the Al Wajbah Decoration in recognition of his contributions to strengthening and supporting bilateral relations between Qatar and The Gambia.

He commended Ambassador Malang for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors, while expressing hope for continued progress and development in ties between the two nations.

In response, Ambassador Malang expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Deputy Amir, and the Government and people of the State of Qatar for the cooperation and support extended to him throughout his tenure.

He noted that the cordial collaboration he received was instrumental to the success of his diplomatic mission and the advancement of relations between the two countries.

The award underscores Qatar’s recognition of diplomatic efforts that promote mutual understanding and cooperation with partner nations.
