Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Adama Barrow Discuss Bilateral Ties and OIC Summit in Phone Call

Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL) – President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey spoke with President Adama Barrow of The Gambia on Thursday, discussing various issues including bilateral ties, the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and the upcoming Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Banjul.

The phone call, reported by diplomatic sources, highlighted the significance of unity within the Muslim world to address the situation in Gaza.

President Erdoğan stressed the importance of adhering to U.N. resolutions and expressed hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

President Erdoğan also expressed his wishes for successful negotiations and decisions at the OIC summit, where Turkey will be represented by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

He emphasized the potential for Turkey and The Gambia to take joint steps to advance their bilateral relations in the future.

The 15th OIC summit is scheduled to take place in Banjul over the weekend, providing an opportunity for Muslim-majority countries to discuss and address various challenges facing the Islamic world.
