The robbery took place at the Majum Complex located along Kombo Sillah Highway in New Jeshwang on the night of Tuesday, 6th May 2025. According to police sources, the robbers gained entry while the security guard on duty was reportedly asleep.

A statement issued by The Gambia Police Force on Thursday confirmed that the Serrekunda Police Station received the report of the burglary and immediately dispatched a team of Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers to the scene.
