Gambiaj.com (BANJUL, The Gambia) – President Adama Barrow, in his capacity as Secretary General and Party Leader of the National People’s Party (NPP), has announced the immediate appointment of Mr. Momodou Sabally as the Deputy National Campaign Manager. The appointment, effective April 6, 2025, aims to bolster the NPP’s grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of upcoming political activities.
The decision, formalized under Resolution 001/2025 by the NPP Congress, signifies a strategic move by the party to strengthen its leadership team. Mr. Sabally’s role is expected to be pivotal in enhancing the party’s engagement with its support base across the country.
In a statement released by Seedy SK Njie, Deputy Spokesperson of the NPP, President Barrow extended his congratulations to Mr. Sabally, expressing his full support and that of the party’s executive and membership.
The Party Leader also used the opportunity to call upon all NPP members and allied partner parties to reinforce their unity and collaboration.
“President Barrow urged all members and supporters to build upon their existing achievements and to work seamlessly at all levels, solidifying their bonds of unity and solidarity,” Njie stated.
The NPP’s focus on strengthening its grassroots presence and fostering internal unity comes at a crucial time, as the party prepares for future political campaigns. The appointment of Mr. Sabally is seen as a key step in achieving these objectives.
