Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – As part of its defence against the Former Auditor General, Mr. Modou Ceesay, the State through the office of the Solicitor General listed five (5) documents it intends to rely on during the trial, including a social media post by one of the country’s leading online platforms, What’s On Gambia.

The list of documents dated November 13, 2025, and filed on November 14, 2025, contains the State’s documents it intends to rely on.

The list of documents includes, a letter dated 14th day of November 2022 from Modou Ceesay to H.E. President Adama Barrow bearing the subject “Acceptance of the Job Offer as Auditor General”

It also includes a letter dated 10th day of September 2025 from the Personnel Management Office to Mr. Cherno Amadou Sowe bearing the subject “Appointment as Auditor General”

The state also listed a Letter dated 10th  day of September 2025 from Cherno Amadou Sowe to the Permanent Secretary of the Personnel Management Office bearing the subject “Acceptance of Appointment as Auditor General of The Gambia”
