Gambiaj.com – (Banjul, the Gambia)- Gambian forward Bubacarr ‘Steve’ Trawally made an instant impact on his debut for Paide Linnameeskond, scoring just 32 minutes into their 3-0 victory over Tallinna Kalev in the Estonian top flight.
Trawally was later replaced in the 63rd minute by fellow Gambian Pa Abdou Cham, before another compatriot, Abdourahman Badamosi, came off the bench to seal the win with a 90th-minute strike. Trawally, who joined the Estonian side just last week, started the game and scored a goal with a powerful header. His energetic performance and attacking contributions have impressed Paide fans and given them high hopes for his impact on the team.
Trawally spent last season in the United Arab Emirates with Al Orooba, but stayed there for just one year. Now a free agent this summer, he has chosen to reignite his career in Estonia. The striker has signed a contract with Paide until the end of the season.
He has scored in multiple debut games throughout his career, including his 2018 home debut for Guizhou Zhicheng and his 2022 debut for Hammarby FC in Sweden. He also scored on his debut for Yanbian Changbaishan in 2015, securing a 1-0 victory for his team.
With his recent move to the club, Trawally has left a positive impression and sparked excitement among Paide supporters especially with his tonight performance.
