In a statement released this Thursday, prosecutor Marina Chirakova said, “My assessment is that the evidence is not sufficient to proceed, and the investigation is therefore closed,” although she did not mention Mbappé by name.

The suspect, according to Chirakova, had “not been notified of suspicion of a crime.”.

Mbappé stated in October that he was “shocked” to discover his name connected to the probe.

He said he was “not involved” in the matter when he spoke about it for the first time on Sunday on the French television program Clique.

“I haven’t received anything, no summons … I’m not involved,” he said.

Aftonbladet claims that Mbappé and his group went to a nightclub after dining at a restaurant one evening.

According to Aftonbladet, the complaint was submitted on October 12 following the purported victim’s medical visit.

A black top, a pair of black pants, and women’s undergarments were among the items of clothing that police had confiscated as evidence, according to Expressen.

Police officers were seen in photos carrying brown bags as they left the hotel.

Difficult season
