Gambiaj.com – (LAGOS, Nigeria) – A high-powered delegation from The Gambia, led by Mrs. Isatou Drammeh, Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, recently visited Badagry, Lagos State, to explore potential partnership opportunities in tourism, trade, and economic development.
The delegation engaged in discussions with Badagry authorities focusing on partnerships in tourism development, cultural exchanges, hospitality investment, and trade. Both parties acknowledged the rich cultural heritage, historical sites, and beautiful coastlines shared by their countries, highlighting the potential for mutual benefits through collaboration.
During the visit, Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, Chairman of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) Lagos Chapter and CEO of Eko Destination Ltd., briefed the Gambian delegation on the upcoming Destination Lagos Awards. The awards aim to celebrate excellence in tourism, hospitality, and entertainment, showcasing Lagos State’s best offerings and providing a strategic platform for regional tourism promotion and networking.
The Gambian delegation expressed enthusiasm for the event and endorsed it, pledging full participation. Mrs. Isatou Drammeh stated, “We are thrilled to support the Destination Lagos Awards and look forward to a fruitful partnership with Eko Destination Ltd.”
Organizers of the event believe this partnership marks a new era of cooperation and collaboration between The Gambia and Lagos State, promising growth and prosperity in both regions.
