Trump Severs Ties With Marjorie Taylor Greene as Feud Erupts Over Epstein Files and Foreign Policy

Gambiaj.com – (WASHINGTON, D.C.) – President Donald Trump on Friday formally rescinded his endorsement of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, unleashing a blistering personal attack on the Georgia Republican as their once-close political relationship collapsed into open warfare. Greene fired back immediately, accusing the president of targeting her in order to intimidate lawmakers ahead of an expected vote to release Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The dramatic rupture follows weeks of escalating tension between the two, as Greene has publicly criticized Trump on foreign policy, domestic messaging, and the administration’s handling of the government shutdown.

The dispute erupted into a full-scale political brawl just as renewed debate over Epstein’s network again captured attention in Washington.

I am withdrawing my support and endorsement of ‘Congresswoman’ Marjorie Taylor Greene,” Trump posted on social media, accusing her of having “gone far left.”

He then mocked Greene personally, writing that she had complained he no longer took her calls. “With 219 congressmen/women, 53 U.S. senators, 24 cabinet members, almost 200 countries, and an otherwise normal life to lead, I can’t take a ranting lunatic’s call every day,” Trump wrote.

Greene, once one of Trump’s fiercest and most loyal defenders, responded by claiming the president was attempting to “scare all the other Republicans” before next week’s vote on releasing the Epstein files.

She is one of four House Republicans who signed a discharge petition to force a vote on the documents. Trump has repeatedly dismissed scrutiny of his own connections to Epstein as a “hoax.”

By Saturday, Greene said she was facing a surge of threats, which she alleged Trump had “fueled and egged on.”

I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety, as a hotbed of threats against me is being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world,” she wrote on X. “The man I supported and helped get elected.”

Earlier Friday, aboard Air Force One, Trump defended his recent foreign travel after Greene accused him of focusing too heavily on international affairs. He argued that his relationships with foreign leaders, particularly in China, had directly benefited Georgia’s economy.

They’re not working because your magnets and your rare earths would’ve kicked in, and there wouldn’t have been a factory in the world working if I didn’t have a relationship overseas with China,” Trump said.

He added that he spends “95, 98%” of his time in the United States. “The last thing I want to do is travel 22 hours in an airplane.

Trump also warned that Greene had “changed” politically and revealed that potential challengers in her district had already contacted him. He said he was open to backing a primary opponent.

Greene, meanwhile, broadened her criticism to economic issues, arguing that the White House was neglecting the financial struggles of American families. She posted screenshots of messages she said she sent to Trump and to presidential aide Natalie Harp, insisting that voters want him to “fight this hard to help the forgotten men and women of America.”

In a text message to a contact saved as “DJT,” Greene urged the president to “lean into” Epstein’s connections to high-profile figures and the so-called “deep state.” In another message to Harp, she reiterated her support for Trump but insisted the administration must “stop ignoring the women… Them being raped as teenagers is not a hoax.”

The clash between Trump and Greene marks one of the most high-profile fractures within the Republican Party this election cycle and introduces new uncertainty ahead of the anticipated vote on the Epstein files—an issue with the potential to splinter GOP lawmakers further as pressure mounts on Capitol Hill.
