Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrii Sybiha, on Thursday held a phone conversation with The Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Gambians Abroad, Mamadou Tangara, to discuss bilateral relations and reaffirm diplomatic cooperation.

Following the call, Minister Sybiha expressed gratitude for The Gambia’s support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. “Pleased to have a call with Foreign Minister Mamadou Tangara to thank The Gambia for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. We discussed the development of our bilateral relations and strengthening our cooperation. I also invited my colleague to visit Ukraine,” Sybiha stated.

Sources from Ukraine’s Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed that Minister Tangara welcomed the dialogue and reiterated The Gambia’s commitment to upholding international law and supporting Ukraine. He emphasized the importance of fostering deeper bilateral relations and exploring avenues for collaboration across multiple sectors.

Both ministers agreed to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation between their nations, signaling a commitment to strengthening diplomatic engagement between Ukraine and The Gambia.
