After the management team was fired early in 2022, Murray and Ismael left The Hawthorns. Murray later managed sixth-tier AFC Fylde in the National League North, where Faal had a successful four-month loan.
In 16 National League North games, Mo Faal scored an outstanding ten goals.
The forward has also had successful loan periods at AFC Telford United and Hereford.
In addition, he has played in two senior games for the Baggies; the first was in the Carabao Cup against Arsenal in 2021. In March 2023, he made his Championship debut against Sunderland by coming off the bench.
Faal is now eager to make an impression at West Bromwich Albion in order to secure a regular berth in the starting lineup.
