The Tujereng police are currently investigating a violent robbery that occurred last night in Tanjeh, resulting in bodily injuries. This incident is part of a disturbing trend of similar criminal activities in the Greater Banjul Area.
One notable case involved an armed break-in at GAMFOOD TRADING CO LTD on 13 Hegan Street, Banjul. Three unidentified individuals forcibly entered the premises, stole an HP laptop valued at D50,000.00, and assaulted the watchman, leaving him subdued, blindfolded, and bound.
The police have issued an urgent appeal to the public for vigilance. They advise hospital staff and management to report any individuals seeking medical treatment for suspicious injuries, as the suspects in these incidents may have sustained harm during their criminal activities.
The police strongly encourage everyone to remain alert and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station. Public cooperation is crucial in helping the authorities combat this wave of robberies.
