Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Police at Kairaba Police Station have announced to be investigating an alleged sexual offence involving a 17-year-old student that reportedly resulted in pregnancy.
According to a police notice, the minor has since given birth.
A suspect identified as Kemeseng Sanneh, alias “Kexx,” is currently in police custody in connection with the case as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged offense.
Kemeseng Sanneh is one of The Gambia’s most prolific court reporters. He is also a human rights activist and a member of Gambians Against Looted Assets (GALA), which organizes protests and demands accountability for former President Yahya Jammeh’s seized assets.
Police said further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
