Cuban Embassy Residence in Brufut Burglarised, Police Investigate

Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Police in The Gambia have launched an investigation into a housebreaking and theft incident at the residence of the Cuban Embassy in Brufut TAF, after an alleged break-in was reported on August 15, 2026.

According to a police flash report, officers responded promptly after the incident was brought to their attention. Preliminary findings indicate that an unidentified suspect unlawfully entered the diplomatic residence and made away with valuable items.

Police Pursue Suspect

The scene has since been processed as investigators work to establish how the suspect gained entry and identify those responsible.

Police said efforts are underway to arrest the suspect and recover the stolen property.
