Trust Bank Granted Extension to Publish 2025 Audited Financial Statements

Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Trust Bank PLC, one of The Gambia’s largest commercial banks, has received regulatory approval to delay the publication of its audited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2025, with a new deadline set for 15 May 2026.

The bank disclosed the development in a press release dated 7 April 2026 and signed by its Managing Director, Njilan Senghore.

According to the statement, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) granted the extension to allow additional time to complete the audit process in line with applicable regulatory and reporting standards.

The bank did not provide further details regarding the delay.

Trust Bank PLC is one of fourteen commercial banks licensed by the Central Bank of The Gambia. Established in 1997 by private investors, the bank has grown into one of the country’s largest financial institutions.

In 2002, Trust Bank listed its shares on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), where it trades under the ticker symbol TBL, making it one of the few Gambian companies with a cross-border stock market presence.

Beyond its core banking services, the group also operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Bayba Financial Services Limited, which provides microfinance as well as local and international money transfer services across The Gambia.

In its most recent full-year results for the period ended 31 December 2024, Trust Bank reported a profit of D340.05 million, an increase from D258.91 million recorded in 2023. The bank’s total assets also rose to D12.72 billion, compared with D11.45 billion the previous year.

The granting of a filing extension by a securities regulator does not necessarily signal any irregularity in a company’s financial position. Shareholders and investors on the Ghana Stock Exchange can expect the bank’s audited results for 2025 to be released no later than 15 May 2026.
