Gambiaj.com – (TEHRNAN, Iran) – Iranian state media has aired a video purporting to track the movements and security arrangements of Barron Trump, the 20-year-old youngest son of US President Donald Trump, while alleging that a $10 million bounty has been placed on him.
The footage, released by media affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and broadcast on state television’s Channel 3, was titled “Where and how should we kill Barron Trump?”
The program claimed to show the location of Barron Trump’s university, vehicles used by his security detail, and the positions of Secret Service personnel. It alleged that his movements had been “fully monitored.”
The claim about a $10 million bounty could not be independently verified.
Claims about security breach
The broadcast also alleged that a woman had managed to get past Barron Trump’s Secret Service protection and meet him privately before passing information to the program’s producers.
It further claimed that Trump’s youngest son communicates privately through voice and text messages on Xbox, away from his security detail.
The allegations could not be independently verified.
The broadcast is the latest in a series of Iranian state media reports portraying members of the Trump family as potential targets.
In July, the IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency released a video titled “Where and how is Melania Trump accessible?” which detailed the movements of US First Lady Melania Trump in New York and highlighted alleged weaknesses in her security.
In late May, the New York Post also reported on an alleged plot targeting Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump.
Threats against Trump
Iranian state media has also issued direct threats against President Trump.
In July, a billboard displayed in Tehran’s Islamic Revolution Square showed an image depicting Trump apparently dead in a coffin, alongside the words “We will kill Trump” in English.
Another video released earlier purported to map the route of Trump’s motorcade between airports and his homes in Florida and New York. The US Secret Service confirmed at the time that it was reviewing the footage.
The threats come against the backdrop of longstanding tensions between Trump and Iran.
In January 2020, a US drone strike authorized by Trump during his first presidential term killed Qassem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force, at Baghdad International Airport.
Iranian officials vowed retaliation following Soleimani’s killing and have repeatedly renewed those threats.
Khamenei’s death adds a new dimension.
The report also links the more recent threats to the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in US-Israeli strikes on 28 February, which marked the beginning of the ongoing war.
Some Iranian state media figures have explicitly framed threats against Trump through the Islamic legal concept of qisas, or retributive justice.
Mohammad-Javad Larijani, a commentator on Iranian state television, described qisas as the Islamic Republic’s “inalienable right,” saying Iran would do whatever was within its power against those it considered responsible for Khamenei’s death.
Another state broadcaster commentator, Mohsen Ghanbarian, said failing to carry out retaliation against Trump would leave Iran’s current and future leaders vulnerable.
The escalating rhetoric has drawn a warning from Trump, who has said any attempt on his life would trigger a severe US response.
On 20 January, Trump warned that if an attempt were made on his life, “the whole country of Iran will blow up,” saying he had issued orders for the United States to destroy the Islamic Republic if such threats were carried out.
