Gambiaj.com – (BANJUL, The Gambia) – Police in Kololi are investigating the suspected murder of a 39-year-old man following a physical altercation at a residence in the area on Sunday, September 27.
The victim, identified as Lamin Mboge, reportedly sustained injuries during the altercation and was taken to Kanifing General Hospital for medical treatment.
He later died at the hospital from injuries sustained during the incident, according to a police notice issued on Sunday.
Following his death, Mboge’s body was transferred to the mortuary at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul.
Police have detained a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident as investigators work to establish the circumstances surrounding Mboge’s death.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not disclosed further details about the nature of the altercation or the specific circumstances that led to the fatal injuries.
